For our second commuter social, we are going to go on a hike to the Stanford Dish. This is a quintessential Stanford activity. Everyone has hiked the dish at some point. We’ll be getting an early start to (hopefully) beat the heat. Snacks will be provided.  Sorry, no dogs or bicycles are allowed.

We'll meet at the Stanford Avenue entrance. 

Please dress cool, BRING WATER, and wear sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat. The hike itself is a steady incline and mostly flat.

We strongly recommend that students carpool or get dropped off. And while there is a parking lot nearby, it can fill up quickly. If that is full, you can find parking on campus and walk in. Parking on Stanford campus is FREE on the weekends, but it's a long walk to the trail head from campus. If you live close by, we encourage you bike or walk to the dish (or get dropped off.) Be sure not to park where residential parking permits are required.
